Still Don't Know What to Be for Halloween? TOP 5 COSTUMES!

One of the hardest decisions made all year: WHAT WILL I BE FOR HALLOWEEN? I have been thinking all night of good Halloween costumes and  have come up with my top 5 picks for the best Halloween costumes of 2012.

1. Walking Dead
- Zombie or Character! Season 3 just came out on TV a few weeks ago. Not only is it one of my favorite shows on right now but it would be an extremely easy costume. Just throw some everyday clothes on and add a bunch of make-up.

2. Honey Boo Boo
-This would be a hilarious costume. 7 year old patent girl. Just get a blond wig, make-up and a fluffy dress. Sure to be a party favorite.

3. PREGO SNOOKI
- Just a couple years ago you could go as Jersey Shore. Now you can go as pregnant Snooki! Great way to be "sexy" and funny at the same time!

4. Gangnam Style
-You could go solo as Psy or create a the perfect costume for a group. It is sure to get a lot of looks but be careful.... there may be tons of others wearing the same thing!

5. Binders Full of Women
- No matter what political side you are on or who you will vote for, binders full of women will be a sure hit. A fantastic girls group costume. Also, very inexpensive!

If one of these costumes work for you be sure to post a picture so we can see how it turned out! Happy Halloween!

The fashionable way to SAVE $$$ on Halloween costumes

October 31st. The day we all looked forward to. As kids we were excited to collect as much free candy as humanly possible and have Halloween parties at school. As an adult I have to be more careful with my costume to ensure that no one else will have the same one. As a college student I have to guarantee that I have a different costume for each outing and have to be cost effective. There is nothing more fashionable than saving money on an outfit you will only wear once!

3 Great ways to save money on costumes!

1. Wait until last minute if you can.
- We all know that the costume stores have the exact same outfits that they did last year and the year before and the one before that, so get one on clearance! If you don't like what the costume actually entails than change it to something else! Last year I wanted to go as Robin (with Batman) but refused to pay $60 just for the dress! Instead I got a saloon girl dress on clearance for $5 and bought a great pirate hat for $20 to become a pirate instead. I used gold earrings, make-up and shoes that I already had and created a great costume for less.

2. Go with a group!
-This may sound expensive because you're thinking that you all have to be identical, but not necessarily! The year before last, I went as a skittle with a group. All I needed was a shirt, an "S", skittles and a headband. (I also threw in a purple wig, obviously I was the purple skittle!) We glued skittles onto headbands and wore them in our hair and put a "S" on our shirts.

3. DIY!
-This ties in with number 1 and 2, but most people don't think about it! Do it Yourself! Nothing is easier and can be cost effective by putting your own costume together! You can be a vampire (just get some teeth and blood), mummy, or my favorite a zombie. I would think Zombie will be very popular this year with the third season of the walking dead coming out!

Hopefully these work for you! Let me know if you have any other ideas on how to make costume finding cheaper!
